What can I do to show my parents I am responsible enough for facebook?

i used to be just the same but my dad was like NO ,A FINAL NO unless you're the right age (13) for having a facebook account so i waited and waited and waited until i was 13 i made an account...my dad was still not convinced but i was already done with it however, a year later or so i found out it is soooooo boring....its just the parents feel that the online danger is just above our imagination and even if we think we know the problems that may arise and we will be careful, they are worried about us. and its true, we may think that such crimes that happen because of social networks and far away from happening to us we're wrong.

Star great answer . FB is boring . You really don't want an account . Now they're even charging you $$ if you your post 'promoted' !! It's lame & a waste .

They are also starting to charge people if you message someone not on your friends list.

I know but the thing is there is year 3's and 4's at my school and have facebook and I do want an account because my mum sometimes lets me on there and I talk to my friends on her account and do things on there the only things she doesn't let me do are comment on things or post things

and I didn't know that they charged you they don't charge my mum or brother when they message people who aren't there friends

that's what i did but then i ended up talking to some random person with dirty intentions ....
you may end up talking with only friends and family but it would be hard to convince your parents that this is what you're going to do :)

She has surgery next week. Otherwise some old hag she's always been. LOL. Got my work stuff all figured out, so I get those two days that I asked for, off.

I'm ok too , just a little tired from all this travel . Was in Florida for 3 days last week , then up to Philly , to NJ .....

Yea hun I'll be in NYC tonight . Just in time for a huge snow storm heading our way . Hopefully I can make it to CT by Saturday. 2 gigs there this weekend , then we're off for a few days

ihave a facebok and i dobt use it anymore only when im bored lol

Prove to your parents that you are aware of and understand the dangers. You will need to do research on predator pedophile strategies, cyber bullying, scams, inappropriate use of Facebook. Lay it all out for them.

A report plus a poster of what you know about the dangers would be very helpful. Do lots of research first.
