What is the value of x in the equation x/2 + x/6=2?

x/2 * 3/3 + x/6 = 2
3x/6 * x/6 = 2
4x/6 =2
x = 2*6/4
Therefore x=3

For LCM(Least Common Multiple)...........to make the denominators equal so that u can add them
