What are some places not to be missed in NYC? Hidden treasures, ie. resturants, activities, etc. Will be going in two weeks.

Will only be going fri-sun. So time is short. TIA!

Hi Dawn. I live right outside of Manhattan. Welcome in advance! Go to Grand Central Station, Union Square Park, The Village. On 9th avenue & between 42nd and 40th street, there is a beautiful, cozy, Italian restaurant called Casa Di Isaaco. I highly recommend it. Veal Masala, Chicken Franches, classic spaghetti and meatballs. Stuffed artichoke, shaved prosciutto, and great wines. They are not extremely expensive, but are on the higher end. I recommend walking down any avenue ( Broadway, 5th,6th,7th,8th,9th) Start at around 50th and go as far down as 12th. That is how you find the neat little shops and cafes. Also I highly recommend Caffe Dante on MacDougal st in the west village. Best cappuccino, profiteroles, and italian desserts. Mustang Harry's on 7th & 28th, is a good place for a group of all ages, it has an irish pub feel with great food. Also check out Madison Ave. from 50th st and up. There you will find Tiffany's, Sax fifth ave, and FAO Schwartz toy store. Fao is a must, even if there are no kids in your group. Hope this helps!
