I think people hate being corrected when they say something wrong or spell something wrong because they feel stupid and embarrassed. Most people don't like it when they are told that they are wrong. Geez! You can't be correct all the time! I learn from my mistakes.

I'm fine when anyone corrects me, except for when it's my younger brother telling me how to do something that I don't know how... It just hurts my inner pride! It's like having a toddler show you how something's done....guh ihck, I hate that feeling! I hate it even more, though, when someone tries to correct me when I'm highly stressed. I don't want you touching anything, I don't want you telling me anything, and I don't want your face anywhere where I can see it! I don't even know why I don't like you when I'm stressed, but I don't. I have a fear of you pressing some unknown button with your breath. I can stand you, though, if you talk reeeally reeeally gently!
I don't have a problem with the word, "ain't" but I find it annoying. People are going to get annoyed because you seem to be focusing on their faults than on what they're really trying to say. I like being corrected on occasion, but it is simply annoying. Just be kind when you do. Not everybody uses proper grammar or spelling.
