Did the first computer have a mouse?
No...there was no video displays on computers until the 70's, the first digital computer was invented in the 1940's. Without video displays or graphical interfaces, there is no need for a pointing device or mouse.
The first computer did not have a mouse. Mouse was introduced in 1970 and it was wooden. The invention of mouse is accredited to Douglas Engelbart .
ENIAC was technically the first computer. It did not have a mouse.
Our family computer in the 80's had a joy stick. I think that was what it was called.
I remember when a mouse was a novelty. I actually thought to myself it was a silly thing and would never catch on :/In the 80's, we used dos as the operating system usually, which had a non-graphical interface. So we didn't use the mouse much until Windows came along.
