Find a support system! I was diagnosed clinically depressed ten years ago and only recently have I found a way to help deal with it. Find out what works for you! If talking to someone helps - find someone you can trust. Whether it's a friend, family member or a therapist. For me talking does help. Also finding productive crafty like things to do also helps. Puzzles, reading books, cross stitching, latch hook, model cars. Anything that you can focus on to forget what you're felling for a moment helps. Try to not avoid the depression. Talk to your dr and see what they say. Try to find the root of your depression and find a way to overcome it. The best of luck to you!
Listen to binaural beats or some sort of frequency. There are plenty of tracks available and videos on YouTube. Also, you can use a frequency generator app on your phone to play a sine frequency. I recommend playing a gamma frequency--probably something between 25-100 or 40-100 hertz. Frequencies are a sort of hypnotism that affects the connections that your brain makes among itself. Gamma frequencies are associated with intelligence and happiness. Note: These are not at all dangerous. However, AVOID anything in the 60 hertz range. The bad effects of this range of frequency on the human brain are unnumbered. Also, make sure it's a sine frequency.
Find a hobby that makes you feel good! Photography, drawing, painting, bird watching, volunteering at your local animal shelter are a few. The best thing that I ever did was adopt a dog. I rescued a pit bull, the one in my picture:), and he is just the biggest love bug. He always wants to be with me and just looks at me with so much love. If your sad, he just snuggles up to you, and there is no depression when I am with him. Give it a try! Rescues are always more loving.
