English homework help please!

so it says underline the verb or verbs in each sentence. the sentences are, Donovan is a star goalie for the team, and, Celeste wanted ham, turkey, and cheese on her sandwich. I can't find any verbs in either of them

in the first sentence, IS is ALWAYS a verb. And for the second sentence, i guess WANTED is the verb but im not sure.!

Wanted is a verb. " Is," is not really considered as a verb. " Has," would be a verb now, if you replaced, " is," with, " has."
