if I do eat then do sit ups will that mess up my body

because I do push ups everyday but not sit ups but I'm not sure if doing that is legit

No..of course not. YOu can't over do ab workouts. it's the strongest muscle in the body.

you can overwork any muscle in the body, and trust me, you can strain an abdominal muscle if you work hard enough, but feel free to exercise in a healthy manner guy

It's better to exercise on an empty stomach. You will burn more calories.
