Yes, stout. I went through the same thing. And now you find out who your real friends are. It's unfortunate, but there will always be an intolerant one in the bunch. It's a credit to your other friends that your choice of non-belief doesn't matter to them. I think you will be much happier now your position is stated. Good luck to you.

I don't have problens with it, but I only get irritated by believers that bash me for being an Atheist.

I know one of my closest friends won't stop bothering me about it almost as though i did something wrong. I'm sick and tired of hearing it.

Someone's religion, or lack of, really shouldn't affect a friendship. In the opinion of a believer

I think they should support your beliefs and shouldn't affect your friendship.

there will always be people who disagree with you. its just a matter of getting over differances, because in a friendship thats not what matters. tell him/her that you guys never even have to discuss religion-dont try to argue with your friend about whether or not there is a god, just talk about how much their friendship means to you.

Yes, I've had that happen before. My two best friends in the entire world stopped being my friends because I'm an atheist. They told me loads of offending and insulting things like get those demons out of you and stuff like that. It's strange how believers' only explanation for why someone is an atheist is because of demons. Yet, we're all born atheist. Oh well, I still don't regret it. I don't regret being an atheist because I can live my life to the fullest now.
