Question about parting note / gift for men over 35 only!

I like a guy and will see him for the last time in a couple of weeks. We were flirting at first, then somehow things went wrong, and now we just act professional around others, but he avoids / ignores me for the most part. I could never figure him out. Anyway, I just want to part on a good note and I was thinking of leaving a small thank you note and a music CD (he listens to music when working) in his mailbox at the place I see him. If someone left something like this for you, how would you take it? Would you be OK if it was anonymous, but there was enough in the note for you to know who it is. I don't expect him to respond and don't want him to feel the pressure to respond, hence the anonymous route. Thanks for your thoughts.

Leaving the anonymous note but with enough content to make sure that he knows the sender is a great idea. This will make him realize that you really care for him and still like him. It will make him regret for ignoring and acting the way he does. He will also respond to your note if at all he is still interested or likes you.

Thanks, that was sweet. Only if men thought like women!

It depends. What are you trying to accomplish? Do you want to continue the contact? Advance it? It you will never see him again, then a nice note saying thanks for your friendship and best of luck for the future would be nice and the CD would also be nice but don't make it such that he feels obligated to continue the contact.

Yeah, I just wanted him to know that I appreciate him. I want nothing out of it.

Bad idea.
He's 35+ years of age, there's good reason he never properly pursued (seduced) you.
Go ahead with the gift if you so desire, but don't waste your time with any writings. He doesn't care.
