Is being a lesbian a sin

i have had feeling for this girl for sometime now she is out but i am not she works with me and we have went on to dinner in a movie i really like her but i am scared to find out what will people say about it i don't want to lose a chance to be with her but i don't want to lose everything i worked for either

no, being a lesbian is not a sin. even though the bible is against it in the old testament, it doesn't mean that it is wrong. it is the 21st century and we need to understand in the modern world that liking the same gender or even both genders is how some people turn out to be. I'm bi and i don't care if the Vatican says i'm going to hell, this is who I am and they aren't God so they don't get to make that decision!

It's only a sin if a lesbian is extremely sexy. Or maybe that's just me being jealous of her girlfriend.

What he means is that in the Bible in the Old Testament, for example, Leviticus 20:13, homosexuality is forbidden because it is "detestable". This has caused a lot of controversy in the Christian church, because people disagree about whether that law still applies since it is in the Old Testament and SOME believe the New Testament overrides the Old. In those ancient times, people could be put to death for it. Today, lots of other people can't agree whether it's a sin or not, either. In the New Testament, Jesus doesn't say anything specifically (far as I know) about it, but Paul says it's "unnatural". It's rather complicated, so you can understand the disagreements - which is why I say you have to reflect on this and decide what YOU think.

Romans 1:24-27 is the controversial part of the New Testament about it if you're curious. Warning: heavy disapproval expressed, not for the faint of heart, lol.

This is a very personal question, and really, nobody on here should be answering this for you, but we can help you answer it for yourself. You have to live by your own convictions. What does your conscience say? Do you practice a religion? What does it say? Whatever you decide, be true to yourself. Construct your life around what you believe and not the other way around. That's very interesting. To me, it's very important to know what you believe. It sounds like this is an area of your life that you want to explore more. There are so many different religions. Even the lack of religion comes in myriad forms! And there are groups on both sides that may or may not agree with homosexuality. What do your friends and family believe in or practice? Maybe you should try out some different things and see what speaks to your heart and that will help you make these personal decisions in your life.

No it is not a sin. Also people are more accepting now then years ago. There are many successful, affluent Lesbians. Suppressing who you are will do more damage to your future. I say go for it!

If you're a religious person and go to church regularly then it is a sin and the church forbids the gay lifestyle. I am a Christian but I don't go to church and do not agree with that teaching. I do not judge a person on their sexuality do if the lifestyle is something you want to live then power to you

That is between you and God. As a Christian I do not and will not judge. We are all sinners. I know I am. One sin is not diffrent then another. So it is written. Just my opinion.
