Absolutely not ! Religion and different opinions are always going to be here and always have . I don't believe in ANY kind of discrimination ! Religious , ethical , or opinions ! Look at all the killing these things have caused ! NO ! There has been enough Death and arguments ! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and religious belief !

No. Are you trying to start something here, or just trying to get people to think through their attitudes.

nope, not trying to start anything. just noticed a lot of people being disrespected on this site, including myself. honestly, i want to see how people view this as a whole, i want to see if people are as mean as they seem
Report as
Okay. I have noticed that myself, in people trying to enforce their beliefs (not laws) on other people.

Well, what do you mean by ethical beliefs? If they have bad ethics that involve hurting people or stealing, then yes.

Of course not. It is fine to disagree with someone, but flagrant intolerance is unacceptable. Wars and genocide have been caused by this.

No, everyone has their own opinions and beliefs. You don't have to agree, but should accept and respect them for theirs as you would probably hope they would respect yours.

It depends on the situation. If you are an employer, for example, it's illegal to discriminate against someone based on their religious beliefs. But if, for example, you are a single person looking for a partner, of course you will discriminate, because you want a partner who is like-minded. (Discriminating isn't by definition a bad thing. Sometimes it has a good purpose.) Discriminating is not necessarily the same as persecuting, however, so be careful with your question. It's OK to be privately discriminating about who you choose as your friends; however, it's not OK to be unfriendly to someone on purpose because you hostilely disagree with them on something and wish to "persecute" them for it. It's OK to disagree with someone, even heated debate is OK, as long as you "fight fair" and don't resort to shouting, name-calling, and other such inappropriate behavior.

No, I mean how would you feel if someone said something to you because you're white? I saw this muslim girl on t.V and she said people spit on her and took that scarf off her head and said some pretty nasty things....who would want that it hurts?

Acts 10:34 tells us that "God is not partial." And if we are made in his image, why should we be?

If what Acts says is true, then God wouldn't have any such thing as Chosen People. God himself is discriminatory and foments preferential treatment of some over others.

Like the Chosen, the Elect, etc. God shows favor and disfavor, which is what grace is all about. It's what Paul referred to as God having a potter's right to choose among those he's created. God's also misogynist, and Paul defends his "potter's right" to be a bigot.

Only if those moral or ethical beliefs are related to the employment. For example, you would likely not hire a Rabbi to serve as the minister of a Baptist church. And you might be hesitant to hire an assisted-suicide activist to work on your suicide-prevention hot line. But if the beliefs are not related to the function, then there should be no justification to discriminate.

Religious and ethnicity beliefs, no. Ethical, possibly.

No. It is NEVER appropriate to persecute someone because of a differing opinion. NO ONE has the same opinion that you have. If everyone on earth had the same opinion, we would either all get bored, or there would only be one person. There is no justification for discrimination (unless, of course they are work-related, which OldePhart57 explained in his answer).
