Who decided that we can only have a couple of comments per day?

Because this is really annoying. If I have a question or answer that I want to comment on, it would be nice to actually comment on it more than once.

Hi CaptainThorLoki, we have a Help Center posting that outlines this. For your convenience, here is the text from that page:

How come I can't comment as often per day as I used to?

In January 2013, we surveyed thousands of Ask.com Q&A Community members to find out what people love about the place, and where we can improve things. One of the ways in which survey respondents were almost in total agreement? The need to focus more on questions and answers.

We agree! We love the ability to get to know people in comments, but our purpose has always been - first and foremost - to help people connect with answers to their questions. For that reason, we've changed the number of comments that can be made within a 24-hour period, but question and answer limits remain plentiful!

We appreciate everyone who took the time to respond to our survey, and we're glad to continue helping the Ask.com Q&A Community be the place that everyone wants it to be.

Please note: creating extra accounts to bypass this guideline is against our Community Guidelines.

Hope that helps you!

Make sure to tell the suits thanks. Maybe a note to tell them to check out the site once and a while that isn't in a board meeting. They have a good product. They just keep taking it in the wrong direction.

How many comments is it that I can have in a day? Please answer me. Everytime I ask this no one answers.

I think it was more about the quality of the questions ! I took that survey and sure don't remember anything about comments !

Me either. I took it like a week ago and there was nothing about comments. Hows your day going Mr.Wayne? I feel like I hardly get anytime to talk to you.

Jeeves did. This site has a competitor, google. The suits decided that they still want the ask people option, but they want people to give the correct answer. I.E. the robots that answer. It's why they changed to the helpful stars, to move a correct answer to the top of the list. They don't realize what this site has actually become, and are more concerned about incoming revenue, and less about providing a site where people can come for personal answers. Try typing "am I pregnant" into google. The first site it sends you to is here.

I've commented on things more than once lots of times and never had a problem. If you're having a problem, I'm guessing you're doing a lot more commenting than you realize. If you read evertrue's answer, the reason for the limits on comments is because they want Ask to be different - they want it to be more about the questions and answers rather than the comments. Some people use the comments feature to have long personal conversations and that's not what they want Ask to be about. I guess they figure if you want to have an actual conversation, you should go to a more social site like Facebook or Twitter.

Her parents blocked Facebook and I'm pretty sure she thinks twitter is stupid.

Its a new comment rule, okay? You can only have 25 or so comments before they shut your account down for 30 min to 3 hours. read the rules before you type stuff.
