What is failing and what is quitting?

Is there a difference between the two? If so, what is this difference?

When you fail you tried but didn't succeed. When you quit you never finished, gave up and inevitably failed. Lol

If you've tried and failed, you are better off than the one who quit and succeeded!

Failing is when you have failed and didn't try hard enough quitting is when you just give up and not feel like wanting to keep on going.

Failing is when you try, but don't prevail. Quitting is when you try, but give up in the midst of it.
