KVM switch selections

I have 3 computers. A windows ME computer I use for old old old games, A windows XP machine I use for programs neither windows 7 nor ME will run and a Window 7 Machine that I run with dual monitors. One of the dual monitors is VGA. I want to set up the XP machine and the ME machine on a keyboard and mouse thru the KVM switch but I want to use the second monitor on the Windows 7 machine as the monitor for the other 2 as well as keeping it for my second monitor on my windows 7 machine.

Will that work or do I need to have a separate monitor( a third monitor)? I want to know because Im already having space management issues with dual monitors.

I use enterprise level KVMs for installations all the time. I have used KVMSwitchTech's Cat5 KVM Switch and IP KVM Switch solutions in the past and they work well. I would recommend checking with them if you are looking for a quality KVM Switch solution.

The answer to my question was yes. I have 3 computers on the KVM switch. An ME PC, an XP PC and a vista laptop with a broken LCD. and all thru the second monitor on the 7 machine. The 7 has it's primary monitor, keyboard and mouse and the other 3 have a shared keyboard and mouse and all 4 are on the secondary monitor of the the 7 machine.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

You can set up the XP machine and the ME machine through the KVM switch. The KMV system can be used to control more than one computer, monitor and keyboard.

I want My windows 7 machine seperate from the KVM switch but I want to use it's second monitor on the KVM so I can switch without switching desks. I know what the switch is for. I just want to know if I can get away with using just one of the monitors from the 7 machine so I dont need a 3rd monitor. I have 2 desks and the second desk has a monitor for the XP and a monitor for the ME machines. I want to eliminate a desk by hooking both of those to the second monitor on the 7 machine.
