Yes, it's between rape & murder as far as hell is concerned. No religion I know of is anti tattoo. Actually if you look at the painting of the last supper. To your right, Jesus left down towards the end on his arm there's a 5 point crown tat his name escapes me but he was the first Latin King
If you are a Muslim and being a Muslim you are purposely doing a tattoo it is strictly prohibited. But if you are a convert to Islam and if you had tattooed whole body it makes no difference and is allowed to keep them with one restriction to hide them as much as possible at least when you are praying in public ie in mosques etc.. Tattooing is banned in Islam.
I wouldn't get one. But you need to determine in your heart if you really want to know if it's right or wrong and stop asking the opinion of man. WWJD is the question. As far as going to hell for it. Probably not. But why would you want to do something that God disapproves of?
no but if your body is suppose to be a representation of Christ and it is a temple. if its tattoo depicting satanic pictures or even something you'd be embarrassed to show your parents Id think that would be a bad idea. but god forgives all
Are planning on worshiping it or using it to worship an idol. If it's a distraction for you from following Jesus, then, no, you should not get a tat. If it's dishonoring to the Lord, then no, you should not get it. What is the Holy Spirit telling you? Pray about it. If you feel a check about it then don't do it.
Joyce Meyer taught on this Tuesday or Wednesday. Getting a tatoo won't send you to hell. However, I really hope your parents won't sign the paper for you to get one. Almost every single person I know with one regrets it. How about one of those henna tattoos?Since you seem concerned about what God thinks why don't you pray and ask for guidance on this subject. Ask him to provide you with peace about your decision.
I didnt get my first tattoo until I was 20. And I got it in a place that I could wear short sleeved business shirts and it could not be seen. (upper arm shoulder area) and then my chest and backk. I got my last tattoo when I was 34 (I have 7 tattoos) and ALL are able to be hidden by a short sleeved dress shirt. What the boss dont know, cant hurt you.
No, you won't go to hell if you have a tatoo. The Bible says believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. When you truly believe on him, you will lead a life led by God, and filled with things of the light and you will naturally want to have nothing to do with bad things.
I don't believe tatoos are bad, I think you just have to make sure your intent in getting one is right and make sure it is not a bad picture. And I'd say make sure you get one in a place that looks modest and clean if you're going to be getting a good job.
And you could start out with a long lasting henna tatoo to see if you like it.
Leviticus 19:28 tells us, “‘And YOU must not make cuts in YOUR flesh for a deceased soul, and YOU must not put tattoo marking upon yourselves. I am Jehovah." Although no one can tell you what to do, you can use your knowledge of the Bible as well as your desire to please God to decide what you want to do.

Every time I see a cross tattoo I have an overwhelming urge to recite scripture. "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD." (Leviticus 19:28) It's actually a 'sin' if you believe in that sort of thing. And if the prospective tattooee goes all, "That's old testament, it doesn't apply anymore." Well... “For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV) I mean, I don't believe in god even a teeny weensy little bit and I know all these things. They actually contributed to my atheism and anti-theism. I just like to be informative. According to their beliefs a christian goes to hell if they don't repent for having gotten a tattoo. It's always been very interesting to me that the great overwhelming majority of Christians don't know their own religion, only pop culture and non-sense.
