Absolutely NOT! If we (the general public) know, so will our adversaries. Which completely defeats/invalidates any security we would have had. - Besides, it would be quite overwhelming to the vast majority of folks. - Also, all those "conspiracy theorists" would STILL say the same things if it was all out in the open, just as they do now. They will never be satisfied.
YES and they should tell you why terrorist hate us too. Our govt has been screwing over raping other countries under manifest destiny since Korea. Or do you believe our govt is a sweet kind gentle righteous org with your/everyone's best interests at heart? govts are formed to protect the wealthy and their assets. The constitution was written by 50 rich white men and it excluded 2/3 of the pop. women blacks most farmers and their employ sailors.......
It would be nice to know. In order for that to work however, the citizens of the US would all want to put their country first. As it stands if that information got out to the general public you'd have people marching on the Capitol screaming of civil rights violations. Racial profiling, all sorts of injustices. There are to many narrow minded people who don't see the bigger picture. Until terrorism hits them. Then they do a 180
It's even dangerous for one to know where a military family member is being deployed and what they're doing there. Although we can't be denied that information, if we post it on FaceBook or something, which is on the World Wide Web and accessible by anybody on Earth, it could be detrimental to security. So obviously any further information to the public would become dangerous. So no, we shouldn't know about everything our country does to keep us safe from terrorists.
General answer- within reason. There are certain things we shouldnt know about due to national security. If there is a way that the terrorists can figure out the method that they find the information, I would say no. But if there is no security issues, then we should absolutely have the information.
