"Best" and "fastest" are contradictory terms when it comes to weight loss. The tried and true method is diet, exercise and determination. It takes time and if you want to keep it off, it takes a change in life style.
You don't need to do anything too dramatic. Reduce your food intake a little, get daily exercise (a fast walk will do it but you need close to an hour a day) and learn how to push yourself away from the table at mealtimes. It's surprising how quickly that empty tummy stops feeling empty when it realises that whimpering won't get it more food.
One other thing. Keep busy, or keep your mind occupied. If you're sitting around without anything to do your tummy will see its chance and start to nag you again.
Don't try to lose weight too quickly. Your body chemistry senses that you are burning more calories than you are taking in and reacts as if you are starving. Your metabolism slows down and it gets even harder to lose weight. Eat ONLY when you're hungry. Hunger is a physical sensation in your abdomen. Never mind your appetite; that's just the feeling in your mind that you could eat a second helping. DON'T DO second helpings. Walk instead of ride; when you ride, park at the far side of the parking lot if it's safe, take the stairs instead of the elevator. Walking is one of the best exercises; 30 minutes of brisk walking (hurried but not running) is as good as 20 minutes of jogging but you don't need special shoes and there's less chance of shin splints and injuries.
