What are some nice haircuts for fine, thinning hair that is short to medium length?

I also have a full, round face.

If your hair is thinning (like mine) it's better to have some layers to give it a little more fullness. This advice was given me by my stylist, and it doesn't matter if it's short or long, as long as it's layered.

Long is better for a round face, because if you cut it short then your face will look bigger.
