Originally SPAM was canned meat and it was an acronym for Shoulder Pork and hAM. It is now commonly used to mean unwanted E mail that keeps coming at you. Some people say that name comes from a Monty Python skit where there is a woman in a restaurant trying to order something that doesn't have SPAM in it but everything has SPAM in it and everyone keeps repeating the word SPAM and it's driving her crazy. The skit is ridiculously silly and hilarious as only Monty Python can be. I believe that probably is how Internet spam got it's name. You can find this skit on You Tube by searching Monty Python Spam I luv it!
