I'm Excited, What does your dog like? Anything Dog please...!

Sorry, I just feel like talking about dogs. lol. Cause in a half a month or so, I'm adopting a dog from the Shelter. (yay!!!) XD
And I kind of want to start preparing my house for him, so he can have a good luxurious life. (Big dogs, not a small) So... what kind of stuff does your dog like/love???
(I know, dogs love lots of love, toys, and walks) I'm gonna give him all that. But I just want to know what YOURS loves... From bedding, to toys, dog food, treats, anything doggy or you just want to add. Thanks!

You'll want to keep your dog lean. Milkbones are very fattening so I had to stop those. As far as Rawhide goes, don't buy the chipsx they can easily choke on them. I have big dogs but I give them the small beef treats. Make sure your dog has fresh water at all times. Dogs love to be near you and will follow you everywhere, including the restroom. If I am sitting on the couch so are they. I hung a jingle bell thingy on the back door so if they need to go out they ring it and I go let them out. I feed them in the morning so they have all day to do their business outside. I feed each of them 3 cups of Pedigree mixed with a half can of Alpo everyday. Every month I treat them with Frontline for fleas and they are on heartland meds. Rabies shot once a year. Enjoy your new dog.

i have 2 chihuahua puppies .. they love being under blankets , they run like deer ... if any dogs ears are down it represents submission and acceptance of your dominance .. be sure to establish that early ... milkbone treats are really the most loved , they always sit on pillows or blankets and we have a heated pad for pets on the floor for when theyre cold .. its always on

I have not seen a dog that does't like rawhide. it might be a good Ida to get a dog bed, our dogs have jumped into our bed. If we would have had a bed this habit would not have happened. I also would keep one in the kitchen out of the way near a cool vent otherwise you might do a lot of tripping over him. By the way why him? We' had 2 females and loved them very much.

My dog loves Peanut Butter rawhide bones. Everytime we carry in a box or bag she has to investigate it, and bugs us til we open it. lol

My puppy, the one in my pic, likes to walk in circles on my chest when I lay down. I have her so spoiled. I take her everywhere and always get her new toys.

I have a Beagle/Bassett mix named NuNu. (Short for nuisance.). I didn't name him, his former owner did. Also, an Australian Shepard named Macho. They love to lay on soft blankets. They follow me all over the house, so I keep carpet squares in the kitchen so they have something soft to lay on. Most of the house is carpeted. In the kitchen, I keep their food bowls on a waterproof mat. Most of the time I give them dry dog food, but I give them small cans of Mighty Dog different flavors for a treat. They both love that!! I shouldn't let them on the furniture, but I do. NuNu sits with me and is my lap dog. He will sleep for hours in my lap if I don't move. He's a big baby! I have a doggie door in my washroom so they can go in and out when I'm not at home. That's really nice, because they can go to the bathroom anytime and I don't have to take them out. So glad you're rescuing a dog from a shelter! Give him a bath right away. He may have fleas or ticks. Also, he will probably have some bad habits you'll have to break. Housebreak him right away. Just take him out frequently and he'll soon catch on. Be very patient with him and give him all that love he's been missing in the shelter. Enjoy your precious angel!
