Do overnight us post office flights get delayed when public airports are closed?

Say, the airport in the area the package is being shipped from has cancellations or the airport where the package is being shipped to has cancellations

Yes I'm sure. They close the airports because air travel is unsafe at that time

Thanks. I also just asked if the US postal service uses public airports such as Newark, JFK, etc.. I should have just asked you but I posted it. Thanks again!

Believe it or not most mail goes through the Greyhound bus lines

But there is overnight mail that goes through airlines, more often than buses I'm sure. But that is interesting, I didn't know they use Greyhound!?

It is most probably that the post office flights get delayed when the airports are closed. This is because the parcels must go through the airport offices and that means waiting for the next working hours.

Of course. If a airport gets closed its for safety reasons like weather or technical problems, or a strike. That affects passenger flights and cargo flights the same.

Yes all flights that would normally come into the airports are cancelled or redirected, if the FAA grounds all flights to/from an airport then it means ALL flights.
