goldfish are cold water fish so no heater a 10 gallon tank would be nice to start but just so you know goldfish grow to their environment they will only grow as big as the tank that the in also goldfish have a long life expectancy there was a woman in Britain her goldfish live to be 42 years old hope that helps

They're going to die in a few minutes, so, it doesn't really matter. JK. Idk, but you should have gotten the tank and food and everything and had the water purifying and getting to room temperature before you got the fish.
Distilled water ? No .. Regular tap water is fine .. you just need to treat the water with a solution to purify it (neutralizes added chemicals like chlorine), which can also be purchased at the pet store .. and room temperature. Temperature is very important. Putting them in too cold or too warm water temperature will shock them too much. Do some research on Goldfish Care.
