It's a SCAM!!I have been VERY skeptical about depositing it into my account so I tried to cash it at my bank this morn. when the teller ran it came back DO NOT CASH so I went to a Check Cashing Center and got the same thing. The lady there said it was fraud and made a copy to show her boss cause it's the best check scheme she'd ever seen. She advised I try and find a Bank of America and see if they'd cash it.Well there's not one in my state so I called to see if I could get any info and the ONLY thing he would tell me is that it was an active account.I decided to go back to my bank different branch/teller and she spotted it right away and asked me where I got the check and where was I supposed to wire $ to.I told her no where and what it was for.She called security in and after he confirmed it being a fraudulent check she refused to give it back and shredded it.They also informed me had I cashed it I would have gotten in a lot of trouble been held FULLY reliable.I get home and look at the jobs on their website and sure enough it wanted me to wire $1500 to 2 different people in Athens Greece
There is no official confirmation that shows whether Deal Mart from "corp.com" website is a scam or not. You can try getting its BBB review to determine if it is legit or not. Go to http://www.bbb.org for more help.
I really want to know if this is real or not before I cash the check. It seems like it is a scam but boa is a major bank why would they clear a check that is fake and that's going to bounce? Someone who really knows please let me know
I called bank of america to see if it a real account with enough funds to cash an 1900 check the answer to both where yes dealmart does have an account with BA and there was enough funds 2) I called my friend who works as a fraud specialist at another bank explained it all to her and this is how it work s.......Deal Mart opens an account at Bank of America finds a list of people that have signed up to work from home sites etc..etc.. mails out the check
Thanks to everyone who has reported dealings with this company. I, too, have received the infamous $1899.95 check. So my questions are: 1. if I deposit it in my bank account, let it sit for 20-30 days and nothing happens, will it clear?; 2. if I deposit it in my bank account, will DealMart get the cancelled check back with my account number on the back as a part of the clearing process? (and in that case, I'm assuming that DealMart can then use my account number for very devious things). What do you think?
