They have a tendency to be greedy. If you've ever read "The Hobbit", they initiated a war with the elves of Mirkwood rather than share the plundered gold they won back from Smaug under the Mountain. In "Lord of the Rings" they awoke an ancient evil in the Mines of Moria digging too deep to search out mithril for there own material gain.

They whistle while they work. I find whistling annoying.

It is possible they do not pay taxes, which is unfair to people who do. (I am answering this presuming you are speaking of Tolkien dwarves, or other mythical types - I added this after seeing FatKenney's response)

You could make an argument that that would be a disadvantage to them.

If your talking about the Otherworldly dwarves: they are little horny and greedy bastds. Who will do anything for whatever they want from you. Narferiously or naughtily.They will do whatever it takes to jealously keep their jewels and gold to themselves and if you want somthing of their hoard in particular , they will ether try to back stab you to get it back if they give it freely or they will make you give up somthing you don't want to in order for you to have it! and they are normaly arrogant or prideful!ROARR!!! O_O
