I'm writing a speech on the importance of washing your hands, any other points i can add or ideas on how to conclude?
This is my speech so far: Importance of washing your hands!
Target: Children age 7-11
Have you ever had the flu? Have you ever missed out on going to your friend’s house because you were sick? What if I told you that you could possibly avoid this happening again if you washed your hands often?
There are 600,000 germs on average on your hands, that is more than the total amount of play station games in the world! Do you wash your hands once? Twice? Three times a day? Well experts say that you should wash your hands at least 15 times a day! It is important to wash your hands because touching catches 80% of infectious diseases, the reason you get sick.
If you wash your hands for 30 seconds rather than 15 seconds, the reduction of skin bacteria is nearly ten times greater! So take your time kids! Have fun, use soap and make bubbles! Using soap helps kill the germs and helps to save you from getting the ‘sniffles’.
To avoid having dirty ‘yucky’ hands; do not hold money too long, do not touch the toilet seat, wash computer key boards often and make sure you wash your hands after using the toilet!
