Early Retirement-what is the rule of "80" age plus years of service?

The Rule of 80 is calculated by adding your years of service to your age to get a sum of 80. For example, if you starting working at age 20 and worked 30 years your current age would be 50. Add your age to your service and you get 80. You are now eligible for early retirement without a loss of benefits. More information can be found here:
