Well. If you have a regular food pattern (3 meals a day), this meal comes at the end of the the longest period without food. Should you skip it, you would have no meal for 14 hours or so, but your body is asking for energy. This leads to low sugar, inability to concentrate, etc. In short: you need this food to get you through the morning. If you don't, chances are your body will stimulate you to eat too much at lunch, or to have sweets before. And eating sugars after not having anything at all before leads to high sugars.. Give your body a break, eat at regular intervals.
