What is a good amount of time to tan in the sun each week?

How long should I tan? I would most likely tan each Saturday. But is that ok? Should I split time in the week, or should I take breaks? Is it ok to tan with tanning oil, because I would do that. Please help, thanks. And also give me tips to become naturally dark. I don't burn very easily, I only burn on my feet and lips. And thats if there is wind.

Well, it's pretty much a known 'fact' that tanning/sunning etc leads to skin cancer. It may not be the only cause (of that I don't know) but it's definitely correlated. While different people may be predisposed to the risk, either more or less, than someone else, it's just a huge gamble. It's not worth the risk, in my thinking, so I would never advise anyone to do it, especially since the perceived 'rewards' are not permanent, and it's been seen that the costs/risks can often be devastatingly permanent.

I've dont it before, and at the beach I always seen people do it there always. I dont see why people freak out. I would wear sunscreen with tanning oil. Would that help me not get cancer or anything else? Also I'm mexican and indian, I shouldn't burn as easily and I should get alot darker right?

It may be true that if you're of darker skinned descent, that you may be less predisposed to the adverse effects of tanning, but there's just no guarantee. You may not find out for years that something you did contributed to a situation that you wish could be reversed. No matter what, me personally, I would not tell anyone that it's ok. That's just me though.

As for sunscreens and/or oils, if they are blocking the harmful rays, then they are working properly, and if they are letting those rays through, than they're not doing much good. The better the SPF, the better you're protected.

Hope my feedback helps some.

tanning is destroying your skin it leads to later in life wrinkled skin skin cancer aging sun spots but tanned skin is beautiful when your young my self when I'm old who cares so I say lay in the sun until you feel the rays sinking in about 45 min at most every 3-4 days use a bit of oil that helps to fry a bit but gives a nice deep rich color

5-10 minutes every day at 12:30 is more than enough, it gives you vitamin d, just make sure you wear sun screen.
