listen to music. it's soothing or stay on the internet it makes my eyes sting i close them and then I'm asleep.

yeah, living so close to wildlife makes SO BAD and hard to calm, Even with lots of people saying I won't get certtain diseases from animals, I still shake and google my "symptoms" a lot, that punk4eva is called Hypochondria, it is a h3ll to live with sometimes.

I know. It is an illness within it's self and is no laughing matter. You say you live next to wildlife? Like next to nature, lots of animals? Next to bush? Please explain..

In my backyard is the woods, I go out there lots to climb trees and there are lots of furry neoghbors, have never ran into one, but have ran into dead ones. and that punk4eva is why I fear my life lots of the time. dead critters in the woods.

I try to stop thinking of any problem or anything serious. Sometimes i read a book in the bed or listen to some soft quite music.

I read or play puzzle type games until I'm mentally exhausted, but I know it doesn't work for some people, it just keeps them awake for longer. Some say warm milk helps, but I don't like milk, so I've not tried it. (:

You hold your breath and count to five a few times or as many times as you can. It really works and before you know it you fall asleep.

Wake up early every day, even weekends, and try to do a lot during the day, and try to go to sleep early. this should help get your sleep schedule back on track and then you could go to sleep later. just keep waking up at least by 9

when the temperture is too hot i get a washcloth, wet it with cold water, ring it out and put it on my face or eyes. it cools me down.

i calculate how much sleep im going to get if i fall asleep THAT VERY SECOND :). it helps a ton. i also just close my eyes and pretend to sleep. you'll drift off eventually. if not, go take a hot shower
