Why can't we tickle ourselves? saw it on a billboard

Report as

The reason it is not possible to tickle yourself lies on the anterior cingulate cortex processes pleasant information and the somatosensory cortex processes touch. These two regions are found in the brain and involve the process of how tickling feels. The regions are less active during self-tickling compared to when tickling is performed by someone else.

Because your brain prepare's yourself for it, its easy for someone else to trick your mind but it's hard for you to trick your own mind

I would imagine it either has to do with warmth of another's skin. Or how tickling requires where surprise and expectation meet.
