How can I get rid of depression and anxiety? By myself.

I ave had depression for a year and a half I have had anxiety for probably 5 years only gets worse.

to get rid of it by yourself you have to reach inside an be determined to make that change you know how to do it but you have allowed this negative crap to have more power than you know that it has . take your self back for it was you that gave yourself to that to begin with you just forgot and be damned if it or any body else can't accept that you again have made ip your mind to beat that . just do it you now are wiser for going there but where it goes is not productive just think the next time these thoughts try to creep in you can relive it all in 3seconds and say where do you think you're going you have already been here and just ain't no room so kick rocks . that's how you do it by your self and I know you have the ability cuz I did it and not wanting some book freak analyzing my head trying to convince me I'm something I'm not am I right good luck no it's not luck it's power

i suffer from depression as well... what has helped me is exercise, which helps release much of my built up stress and anxiety, and staying away from alcohol, which had caused most of my extreme lows...

That's the thing, I don't feel like doing anything it has left me with no energy I just wanna sleep all day.

I had this 40 yrs ago. I got out of it i thought by myself by writing my dreams down upon waking and reading the gospels (mathew, mark, luke and john). I would ponder the dreams at nite and eventually answers would come. The gospels would shine Light into my dark life and led me to Truth and living for more than just myself. u r in my prayers

I used to have anxiety and depression, I overcame it by myself.
It's all about mental strength, because all of those problems are in your head.
You should find someone who you can talk about it with, that you can trust.
When you talk about it with someone like that, it makes you feel not so alone in all of it.

I went through the same thing and found that between medication and therapy eventually I was able to over come the anxiety and depression! One of the things I was required to do was to exercise everyday for 30 minutes. Also required some sun light daily 20-30 minutes. Hope this helps!

I was also In the same place you are I got myself a diary and started writing in it every night or when I felt I had to. If you have someone close to your heart sit with them and talk. If not go for walks or pick up a hobby. If you believe in God go to church believe I found that it help me.

I have a diary and I write my feelings down but I look back and there all emotional poems I have written so I hide them so no one can see them they might laugh and cause my depression and anxiety to worse. I use to love church no one will take me.

squeeze a stress ball, write a song, go for a walk or basically do something you enjoy doing, that always works for me :D

I busted a stress ball. I write poems and songs but they all turn out emotional and sad.

Try getting in a dark room it can be your room. Try breathing in and out 10 times while listening to your favorite music too. It calms me down a lot. Make sure your breathing in your nose and out your mouth. Also, make sure you're breathing deeply too

Music is the reason I have depression and anxiety lol. Uh I lost all my friends a few years ago for liking Justin Bieber yet I still ge hate, I feel like everyone has left me and I'm alone and that I'm unwanted everyday I feel like I want to die. It never changes.

Kenna -gave you some good advice do deep breathing exercises it will change your mental status .Medication from the Dr.helps very well.

When you mind is telling you negative & hopeless thoughts,flip the record to the other side.Always know you have control over your thoughts.Never leave a negative thought without a positive.In time you will forget negative.for in time your the person you want to be. Set tiny goals!you will achieve them and more!
