Sadly, a great many people are partially or substantially allergic to strawberries, so it is important to eat small quantities at one time. Blueberries, however are FULL of important anthocyanins which are vital antioxidants with a list of benefits as long as your arm. Personally I LOVE strawberries but they don't love me, whereas Blueberries are as essential in my life as is breathing.
Blueberries have a diverse range of micronutrients, with moderate levels of the essential dietary mineral manganese, vitamin C, vitamin K and dietary fiber (table). One serving provides a relatively low glycemic load score of 4 out of 100 per day. Blueberries contain anthocyanins, other pigments and various phytochemicals, which are being researched for their potential role in reducing risks of diseases such as inflammation and cancer.
