Does benzoyl peroxide work for everyone? i don't think it works for me?

i've been using it for about 4 months now and i think it has made my acne worse

Report as

Some people are either allergic to it, or it is too strong for their skin, therefore making your acne worse. With my son, we diluted it with water. Same amount water as the Benz peroxide and it worked great!!! I hope this was helpful and good luck. Are you also taking tetracycline, an antibiotic, also? If you go to your doctor, he will prescribe it for your acne, but you'll have to be careful going I to the sun with that medication. Acne usually clears up best using both.

Well, it makes my face peel. Like if i were sunburnt. I can use it every once in a while and it might help some, but I can't use it regularly so I am not sure.

Wash your face everyday with warm or cool water (must be warm or cool) without soap, soap makes it worse. Acne medicine should be used after the washing.

awe sweetie! Peroxide is used to clean a wound:-)
I think maybe you were thinking of rubbing alcohol. Rubbing alcohol has a drying effect to it so dab a little on a cotton ball and touch your pimples and even the oily spots on your face. Be careful cuz if you have a popped pimple it will sting (but it will clean it! lol) plus it can start to dry out your skin. Best of luck. I grew out of mine! :-)

Benzo peroxide is an acne medicine. You are thinking of hydrogen peroxide.

Some complexions are more sensitive. Try washing with warm water and applying aloe. When the aloe dries, use a cotton swab and Hydrogen Peroxide. Swab it on and let it dry. Repeat for 3 days and you should see the skin lifting. Remove the old skin carefully. Have patience, don't pull just wipe. Good luck.
