It depends on how committed you are to taking care of the pet. If you feel like you are overall lethargic, then a cat would be the best pet for you. If you like being outside and running around alot, a dog would be best for you. However, keep in mind that if you like to play alot of sports or get involved inside alot of extracurricular activities, it will be hard to take care of a dog and a cat would be the best way to go. I'm not really high - techy when it comes to cats but the breed I have the most experience with personally is the Tabby Cat. They can be very evil and michevious, however they are very loving and loyal. As for dogs, that also depends on the type of person you are. If you like a dog who's pretty tough - this might suprise you - you'd wanna go for a small dog like a Yorkie Terrier. A Yorkie can actually scare away many big dogs just by standing its ground but if a big dog gets violent, the small dog is in trouble. Now, if you want a dog who can back up its bark with a mean bite then go for a big dog like a German Shepherd. They're loyal and very protective of their families. Well this should help you alot good luck on finding a new pet!
it really just depends on what kind of person you are.. if you want an animal that will mostly take care of itself but does like to be loved.. get a cat (doesn't really matter what kind.) If you want a more playful animal that likes more attention and love to be played with, get a dog. The breed of dog depends on your personality too. I prefer Shelter animals because they are usually the most loving. P.S. I have 2 cats and a dog so I know both sides... Hope this helped :)
A dog. I recommend a border collie or corgi! Or rescuing a dog from a shelter ! That's we're I got my last dog and he is the sweetest cutest little thing ever! He's a German Shepard corgi mix! And from now on I'm only getting my pets from animal shelters. Getting them from shelters is such a good feeling and you know that you are saving a life :)
I'm partial to border collies. Very loyal and protective of my wife and kids. Loves to play and extremely gentle with the kids. Very smart and easy to train. I've had Australian Shepards too but they need to be mentally challenged or they get bored and destroy things. Also depends on what kind of person you are. You have to get a dog fits your lifestyle.
Get a Yorkie! Don't shed, eat very little, easy to train, loves to cuddle, very attached to their owners, I have a Yorkie she is full grown at 4 1/2 yrs old weighs 3 lbs they are sooo adorable and playful. Safe with kids.
