My dog has had fleas for a while. Anyone know of any good home remedies that actually work?

My dog has had fleas for a while now. I've tried everything from flea preventive, sprayed the entire house, flea bombing, & constant baths but still he has fleas. Im pretty sure he has super fleas now, they are use to everything now so nothing is killing them. Does anyone know any good home remedies that actually work?

Treating your dog is only half the battle. You need to wash all bedding it hot water. You need to vacuum your house top to bottom including curtains and the underside of furniture and then do it again in about 3 days. and then again. You can get food grade diamatacious earth and sprinkle it along the baseboards and in the carpet and bedding. Throw out the bag outside (or empty the canister outside) New eggs hatch every few days so you need to keep vacuuming them up. It can take months to get rid of fleas, and you have to be diligent.

The only thing I have found that works 100% of the time all the time is the medications Frontline, Advantix and FiproPro. FiproPro is the least expensive and is the same medication as Frontline, you can get these medications at Pet Stores and even Walmart. I have never found a home remedy that works for fleas.

I've tried them all, still has fleas. I've even had him on Trifexis which is a $20 flea & heartworm preventative pill, still has fleas! I've also had him on the pill & topical (with permission from the vet of course) at the same time & nothing works! I feel so bad for him he's miserable from this! I don't know what else to do!

I've never had collars work or the cheaper drops for the back of the neck, just the three I mentioned, I guess I would ask the vet next, Ive had some pretty bad flea situations, introduced Frontline and wiped them out with out bombing the house or anything, the stuff is expensive but it has always worked for me

when my chihuahua had fleas my mom got some flea killing dog shampoo, vinegar, and a fur brush. She first showered him regularly then poured vinegar on and brushed his fur & the fleas would come off because the smell of vinegar iritates fleas. then shampooed again to get the nasty vinegar stink out.

My dog got fleas once and the only thing I did was to get some unsugared lemonade and spritz it on the dog and it's bed and I also bought a flea comb from petco for 4$ :D

Slice a orange and rub it on the dog, and use borax on the dogs bed to prevent it to come back

I use frontline on my dogs and believe it or not it works very well. It gets rid of the fleas on the dog and keeps them off the dog. You do have a lot of work to do. You have to treat your lawn and the inside of your house. I use diatomaceous earth on my lawn and vacuum and clean the dogs bedding and your carpet.
