I don't understand why when they pick a new pope it's always a guy towards the end of years. I understand that you want a guy with experience. At least this pope had the intelligence to resign to try to take care of his body, instead of just passing away unable to do his duties.
I kinda saw this coming. I figured he was just a stop gap Pope to replace Pope John Paul for the short term. The next one will be younger, with some new, current ideas and thinking and will lead the Church to the 21st century. Finally. Let's hope,

The word is, Suzie, that the Pope at 85, has concluded he can no longer handle the rigors of the Papacy due do his fading health. As you may have heard, he intends to resign on 2/28. While I'm no Catholic, it's a good move for the struggling church at this time.
