If I'm paying Ohio child support and I get another job along with the one I have, will they take support from that also?

I'm behind but its really Job and Family Services fault. Everytime I went to court, they kept pushing it back to see who'd get custody of the child. Neiher one of us did. They're already taking all of my bonuses, and I'm sure they'll take my tax refunds. If I got a 2nd job, will they take the whole check?

Child support is based on a % of your pay. The more you make the more you will pay. IF the custodial parent finds out and reports you and asked for an increase. Most of the time it will be rewarded to them. Good luck!

I don't think so, unless the child support request is refiled. Its based on the child's needs, not just your income.

If you are paying the full amount of your court ordered support each month and have no arrears - no. Otherwise - yes.

If your ex takes you back to court to get child support increased they will figure , it's usually 20% of your total income .

If you were ordered to pay support before the custody issue arose its your fault for being behind. Just because court dates were pushed back didn't relieve you of the obligation. That being said they shouldn't take all of your earnings from your second job. Possibly none of the earnings untill a new order is issued

They can garnish that second job also.
There is a major problem with Ohio Child Support which I pointed out tot the General Assembly in a detailed report. http://www.nopeohio.org/ChildSupport/child_support_013.htm
There are major inconsistencies between how counties approach child support.
If this was all delayed by the courts they are required to give you the opportunity to get caught up BEFORE doing a tax offset.
