When traveling to Aruba with a child other than a passport, what is needed by the other parent not traveling ?

my sons dad is not going with us to Aruba does he need to sign something in order for me take my son to Aruba ?

There is nothing that he will be required to sign, since you are his legal guardian. Apart from the passport, you will require a return- or onward ticket, valid reservation for an accommodation and an ED card that has been filled in and signed. No, as long as you are a legal guardian. If you are a step-parent then you need a signed document that it is OK for the child to travel with you.

I've left the country numerous times with my children and no one ever asked for any documentation from the other parent.

My boys' dad is deceased, so he can't write a letter. I always traveled with his death certificate just in case though.
