is it normal for a new person you are seeing to not be upfront and forthcoming about who they are spending time with or where they are?

i dont want to flat out ask but they never offer up any details

If it is a "new" person in your life - it may not be any of your business yet. Do they know eveything you did yesterday? Did they want too??? What would you think of someone who started asking you for every detail? I know I would wonder why they were sooooo interested - are they wanting to rob my house while I'm at work? You don't know each other yet. Takes time if you do it right. Try starting out the next date with "You know, you have been so kind to listen to me talk and ramble about my life - and I like being with you. It occured to me though that we really haven't discussed much from YOUR point of view. How's your life been treating you up until you met ME?" and then smile like it is a happy question. You might get what you want - or you might not. Go from thier answers.

Why do they need to offer up details? Do you not trust them? When I am talking to the No. 1 person in my life, I don't "offer up" a list of who else I talk to or spend time with. Unless they ask. And if they ask too often, I will ask them what I just asked you: Why do they need to know all this?

Sounds like you are a little paranoid. Dating is how people find out about other people to see if they even WANT to be around them. Sounds as though your paranoia and suspicious nature might be a good enough reason to break up and find someone else.
