Bleach still in washer? Impossible! ...Right?

My washer was stinky so I ran an empty load with a cup of bleach, then rinsed it by running an empty load with hot water only. Just to be safe my next load was towels, which came out fine. Then I did 3 or 4 more loads, including my daughters' school clothes and everything was good. But I did my husbands work clothes last night and ONE shirt came out with a streak of discoloration, assuming bleach. I don't understand, does anyone think their is still bleach hiding in the washer?

If your washer starts to stink again, buy some washing machine cleaner and run it through. You can buy them by the detergent and they work great. Hope this helps. As for the bleach, was their anything on his shirt before you washed it?

Surely no bleach in washer after you did that many loads! Maybe something had got on him at work or something that caused the discoloration.

I'd think he got something on his shirt more than bleach left in the washer.

Agree with proudmomma2012. Probably just a coincidence.
