they made child labor laws to protect children. Corp america took unfair advantage of kids. working them in coal mines 14-16 hrs a day for script(a form of payment worth nothing excepted only at company owned stores) they would charge for goods more than you earned . As children owed more (in debt) the Company eventually owning children through adulthood.(you could never make enough to repay your debt) children were also employed at sweatshops and munitions factories for the same payment as above. Sadly they are doing it again today. people aren't smart enough to realize it yet. When you exit college owing $70K you're now a conscripted servant.
I believe children should be assigned a small job, community or household, and if they prove the responsibility promote them! Children should not just waste potential on silly video games except MineCraft (which I play as an 17 year old).

Child labor laws were put in "effect" to prevent the abuse of children. Much such abuse still occurs today, as in the past, with detrimental effect to those involved across a multitude of avenues. Ex. (Clothing, agricultural, etc.) Think again about the "price" given/paid by "all" when purchasing items from your local store.
