If you have acute hepatitis B you could recover completely as long as your immune system is strong. However, chronic hepatitis B is not at all curable, but the symptoms can be managed with medication and a regular medical checkup.
I think it depends on how good is your immune system, if you took the available vaccine,(there is one if you didn't know) and how long you've been living with the disease. If it's short, you're in good health(no other major medical conditions) and you went to the doctor, there is hope. But with modern medical care, you won't be really bad off with the disease if you did.
