I have a 2002 Chevy trailblazer my dash lights and interior lights stay on when I turn engine off and shut doors what could be causing it

The dash lights and interior lights could be staying on in case the dash light dim control switch is not turned all the way up. The dash lights and interior lights are not powered through the ignition switch and therefore, they can stay on even while the ignition switch is turned off and the key removed. Check to ensure that the dash light dim control switch, which is located in the dash on the driver's side or on the same control as the headlights is pushed all way up.

I did that I had to take all the bulbs out cause interior lights won't go off even when it is running and doors shut now no matter what you do with that switch the dash lights stay on and battery runs down over night could the switch be bad or possibly the body control module need to be re flashed
