Not getting enough sleep..

I sleep to 3am till whenever I wake up what are some easy ways to get to sleep

The one thing you have to understand is that sleeping tablets are NOT the answer. You can become dependent on them and never achieve natural sleep again. Please don't be tempted to go for insomnia medication. Having said that, you are SO LUCKY in America to be able to by Melatonin as a supplement from your Pharmacist. Go to bed at the same time every night to develop a rhythm in your system. THAT is very important - more so than you busy social life!!! Avoid TV and computer interactions for at LEAST and hour before you retire to bed. Some folk find a little warm milk helps the onset of sleep - check this out for yourself. Essential to get good quality sleep is to be PHYSICALLY TIRED - that will knock you out and you will sleep deeply for hours. Mental exhaustion, on the other hand, tends to keep you awake as your mind just won't shut down.

If you're already kind of tired try reading a book. If you're just not tired yet you may need to recalibrate your body's clock.

I've had insomnia my whole life. the best I can tell you is join a sport or be more active.. this is the only thing that really makes me want to sleep normally. doctors will tell you it's your diet (doctors are morons) don't take hard pills but there are over the counter melatonen pills that are not bad for you; they are very natural and give the chemical to your brain that makes you want to sleep.

If you're an adult a glass of red wine will relax you and put you to sleep. You dont have to worry in becoming an alcoholic. Red wine is good for the heart

Are you old enough to drink? That works for me and I work overnights then again I am also a combat vet. Go see a doctor and see if he can prescribe you a sleeping pill or something.

Don't take any pills. instead, have a fixed time when you go to bed, and when you get up so your body can adjust properly.
