What's the difference between a can of compressed air and a can of compressed gas?

And how can they damage your laptop while you're cleaning it's cooling fan? (Tell to explain it as much as you can)

Air is air. Gas could be any type of gaseous product. I'm not sure how it would damage a fan. Unless it freezes it from having the nozzle on the can pressed down to long.

Air IS gas. The only difference is what the gas is composed of.

Newbuddah13 is correct. Although you if you'd use compressed hydrogen to clean the fan you'd probably blow up your laptop and a portion of the room you're in
