The cars today are faster, get better fuel mileage, are much lighter, have much less nasty emissions than the old dogs but The attraction of older cars is that it takes us back to when we were kids, gas was a quarter, OPEC wasn't an acronym, you took your first gf out to watch the submarine races at the lake, enjoyed the drive in (movies & food) The 8 miles per gallon didn't matter, if you had anything less than 350 cu. in. engine it was your grandmothers car. The cooler the car, the cooler you were. The thing that you COULD do with those cars that you can't do now? You could actually work on the motor, computers were in movies.
