threaten to take it to court. it's highly unlikely that he's actually want it to end up in court, so he would wanna be wise guy and just give you the check.

every time i call her i ask her she kept aying shes looking for it it been 2 month now..

She is stalling then .. and she legally can not do that. You can ask her one more time, then advise her that you will be contacting the labor board. If she has lost it, she needs to replace it. It's the LAW! .. 2 months (on a biweekly schedule is 4 payperiods!) .. THAT's ridiculous!

No, Hun .. Every state or province will have their own contact number. Look in your local phone book, or go on line to find an office near you.

Find out why the manager is holding your check. Do you have keys, uniforms or something the manager requires before you disappear?

Just go in and DEMAND it ... by law, they have to give you your check.
If they refuse, call your state bureau of labor immediately ... and the police. File a report with the state, and file charges of theft with the police.

Tell him he has 10 days, in writing, or you're gonna file a government complaint. It's easy and free. He'll avoid that hassle.
