So have you heard the big news about north Korea and more of its nuclear testing plus what are your thoughts and also how would you prepare?

i know i probably shouldn't babble about this since i have no knowledge on the subject but i must ask is why , why have the nukes in the first place ,why even want all this drama in the first place why would they attack us ...ok nevermind that well .. i know that we as a country have done some bad things in the past and we should be held accountable but even if they launched a nuke and killed billions of our civilians that not only be a bad part on them it would most likely start another global conflict that we nor the world needs p.s. i know this post is probably littered with grammar errors and most likely scattered about due to my lack of knowledge on world politics but this is why i don't understand how someone regardless of where your from cheers at massive genocide its sick . what is your take on this ?

It's past time that we stop slapping them on the wrist with sanctions. We need to go there and clean house before they come knocking at our door. Obama is consumed with taking away our personal fire power when he should be taking away theirs!

Do you know how big their Army is? I served in the U.S. Army Infantry and we cannot just march into North Korea and take over that country, we tried in the 1950s and at that time we had a draft. I am not sure if you know this, but I our first 13 military bases in South Korea that are close to the border are called "speed bumps" because all they are supposed to do is slow down the North Korean Army if they choose to invade South Korea. So if you want to take care of North Korea you better get ready for a draft since that is what we will need, so I hope you are ready to fight in a war and it is not fun, I fought in Iraq so I know. Oh yeah, in case you didn't know woman can now fight now in front line combat positions so they will be fighting too.

I have heard, and I think the best way to prepare is doing what the nation did during the Cuban Missile Crisis: revive the organization called Civil Defense and revive the notion of Fallout Shelters.

The organization morphed into FEMA, whose main concern is natural disasters these days, but it wouldn't take much to re-adapt them to reviving the study of what was called "radiology"--how nuclear fallout gets transmitted and distributed by the planet's weather systems. Rebuild our fallout shelter network.

We're already dealing with what's washing ashore from Japan on our western coastline, including stuff from the Fukushima nuclear power plant, so it can be done.

I'm hoping for much support from the Chinese gov't to thwart this threat. It's time for the US to to take a secondary role as ' world police' for a change. We hear about the huge Chinese military, well it's time to see some action. They have as much, if not more, to lose. Just my thoughts-

First all billions won't die, a lot of people would die, but a lot more North Koreans would die. Why do you think we have those nuclear missile subs, they are not for show, if North Korea attacked us with a nuke we would wipe them out once and for all, and I served in the Army Infantry and I was stationed at Schofield Barracks Hawaii and were one of the units that were supposed to be reinforcements in case North Korea decided to invade South Korea.
