Please help? Read description, please

I have been making myself throw up for about a month now. It first started after I realized that I had eaten 350 cal if pretzels. Now I just do it after I eat out of habit. I'm going crazy, I swear. I keep food in my dresser at school, and before pointe in the morning I throw up even if I haven't eaten yet. I also get so stressed with all this pressure to be a perfect, super thin ballerina and I love ballet and NYCB, but I hate this part. My friend Anna caught me sticking my finger down my throat and throwing up and I freaked at her. Please help please

This is from The National Institute of Health. I hope it helps.

"The affected person is usually aware that her eating pattern is abnormal and may feel fear or guilt with the binge-purge episodes....
Most often, a stepped approach is used for patients with bulimia....
Support groups may be helpful for patients with mild conditions who do not have any health problems.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and nutritional therapy are the first treatments for bulimia that does not respond to treatment alone.
Patients may drop out of programs if they have unrealistic hopes of being "cured" by therapy alone. Before a program begins, you should know that:
You will probably need to try many different therapies to overcome this difficult disorder."

I'm sorry you are going through this. The cause is unknown. Please don't feel guilt or shame. That's not necessary. Would you feel guilt if you had diabetes or a thyroid condition? No. Just seek the help you need and follow through. Good luck to you! You can avoid the health risks if you nip this in the bud, and the sooner you stop, the easier the process will be. <3

Tell your parents or another trusted adult, so that they can get you help. Bulimia is very serious, and if you keep doing it, it can eventually kill you. You can get more information through the following... https://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/find-help-support

My parents do not care as long as I am the best and the skinniest in the class. They want me to continue the tradition of ballet and be the ballerina my mother was and more.

Then talk to a guidance counselor or other close relative. If you continue as you are, you won't be the best in the class - you won't have the energy to dance or do anything if your body isn't getting the fuel it needs to properly function.

You probably have bulimia, you should go to a doctor or therapist or something for help.

Well if you don't change soon, your going to die... Keep that in your mind everytime your thinking about that. Trying to be 'perfect' isn't worth your life.

My family is so focused on me being the ballerina my mother was and more that they really don't care as long as I am the best and the skinniest in my class. I am away from home at ballet school in NYC

Talk to your ballet teacher. Tell them that you need someone to get you help. Go to the doctors or a nurse or something.

I can't I have been told I weigh too much for my height. They wanted me to lose weight.

Is dance your dream too? If it is, there are many places to look for help so you can continue. This is a site full of links.

I'd start with your doctor. You can get the correct nutritional help to achieve your goal.

If dance is not or you are unsure, you may actually enjoy the other benefits of therapy. You'll discover your dreams and how to relate them to your family.

I've heard eating disorders are common in ballet, gymnastics, modeling, etc. Sorry you have those pressures. The art is lovely! Sadly, it's not worth the lives lost or crippled.

Oops! Sorry CG_P! I just realized I chatted in your answer. I kept thinking about this and started talking.
